Get Movin'

1 Hour or More of Physical Activity

Come on… Get Moving!

Life has gotten too easy: We drive to work; we take elevators; we use remote controls; we even avoid cutting our own vegetables. And we’re unhealthier as a society than ever before. You might be thinking, we may have all these conveniences, but we still don’t have enough time to do everything we need to. Who has an extra 60 minutes? It doesn’t have to be an hour all at once. Break it up into shorter times throughout the day.

Tips to Get Movin'

There are 1,440 minutes in every day. In order to meet this goal, you need to devote less than 5 percent of that time doing something – anything – that gets you to breathe a little harder and your heart to beat a little faster.

Benefits of Being Active

Being active supports both your physical and mental well-being. It helps you sleep better and boosts your energy, making it easier to get through the day. Regular activity also strengthens muscles and bones, improves self-esteem, and can reduce body fat, contributing to a healthier, more confident you.
